We all know that waste increases during the Christmas period, and the stats we could find around the world say by 25-30%*.
We can change those stats if we are more mindful of how we celebrate the festivities while still enjoying the “silly season” as they call it here in Australia.
Yesterday morning I chatted with Jolene Laverty at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Darwin Breakfast radio show giving out some of the tips we’ll be sharing in next week’s workshop “How to have a less wasteful Christmas” kindly sponsored by City of Darwin.
The link to the workshop is in the comments, together with the excerpt from the Radio interview if you’re interested.
Thank you Rick Hind for the opportunity, we are always happy to spread the word about how every one of us can make a difference, even if a tiny one.
