This V for Victory Bra from The Very Good Bra is 100% organic cotton against your skin: no underwire, no polyester, no sneaky synthetics on your skin (which is our largest organ by the way), and where it matters most: around the nipples.
Even the details are thoughtfully designed: the hooks, eyes, elastic, and sewing thread are all made from 100% natural materials and plastic free.

A Perfect Fit for Petite Women or Women with Smaller Breast
As someone with a smaller bust, I’ve found most bras are either too structured, making me feel like I’m playing dress-up, or too flimsy like for some bralettes, giving no shape at all and hardly any support.
The V for Victory Bra strikes that perfect middle ground. It creates a lovely, natural breast shape without that stiff “pushed-up” feel. It’s supportive but never restrictive, it is exactly the kind of bra you actually forget you’re wearing. The band of the bra is reinforced with a woven organic cotton liner to help it stay in place. The front V has a wire which offers separation in larger cup sizes, and more bulk in smaller cups. It is the reason behind the lovely shape!

Designed with Sustainability in Mind
What sets this bra apart from other “greenwashed” lingerie is its circular design philosophy and the tranparency of the brand. The optional pads are made from polyester as after seven years of trying, The Very Good Bra team couldn’t find a 100% natural fibre padding that held its shape, particularly after washing. However, they are still actively looking for a pad solution made with bio-based and bio-benign materials.
But – and this is key – the bra is designed for disassembly. That means the pads can be easily removed, washed separately, or even reused in other bras, making the garment last longer and stay out of landfill, as apar from the pads, it can be composted together with your plastic free underwear.
For me, this transparency matters. It’s not about perfection, but about making thoughtful, sustainable choices where possible, and The Very Good Bra leads the way in this space.

Style & Everyday Wear: An Organic Cotton Bra for Every Occasion
I am happy to have tried the versatile latte shade, as this bra color works beautifully under light tops and dresses. The minimal yet flattering design makes it an easy everyday go-to, while still feeling special and not just “basic lingerie.” I saw on their website that they also offer other colors though like black, sage, and poppy which is a coral / salmon type of color.

After years of searching, I’ve finally found a sustainable bra for petite women that’s flattering, breathable, and kind to both my skin and planet. I’m certainly not letting this one go. The cups aren’t wide enough and she’s having spillage out the sides and the band isn’t staying under the breasts where it belongs. Also the darts in this aren’t fitted to the padding well enough and the loose wrinkly bit at the top will show through a shirt in an unflattering way.

This isn’t shot on a model, it’s on Simona! But I agree it needs to be fastened firmer round the band to anchor under the breasts. We have plenty more shots on our website and socials showing how it fits. The dart is a necessity in materials that are 100% plastic-free and can’t be moulded, but our customers love this bra and it’s an instant best seller. We had to do 3 restocks in 6 months. 100% plastic-free bras will never have the same look as conventional ones, but genuine sustainability means women love them anyway. Thanks, Stephanie

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately quality does cost more. The company manufactures their products ethically in Sri Lanka and Portugal and everything, all details are made with natural fibers, apart from the pad.

Our 100% organic cotton and rubber elastic costs over 10 times that of conventional elastic, and to date has only been made by one factory in the world, in Austria. Freighting these unique materials to factory is expensive, it all adds up. We understand this makes it inaccessible to everyone but can only hope that over time, as more demand grows for these materials and products, more competition will create savings for all.
